Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students have been blessed to have received iPads from DonorsChoose, but now we need to be able to project our iPad from our projector for whole group instruction. Our iPad will be of most value if all my students can see the screen from their desks, without these accessories this is impossible.
My students are all on free and reduced lunch and attend a Title I school in Texas.
My population of students do not have access to technology at home, and this is why this project is so important. I am trying to expose them to new ways of learning. I want to use these accessories to allow the all the chance of seeing our visuals and so that the iPad can be passed around from student to student.
My Project
I am requesting cables, adapters, screen protectors and a wireless mouse so that my students can use their new iPads. My students will use their iPads in small group, but will also use them in whole group instruction. For the whole group instruction to occur, my students need these accessories. If we received these accessories then I could use the iPads to collect student responses by passing it around to them. I could also project their conversations on to our document camera with these adapters to that they could learn from each other and not just from me.
This project is so important because it will allow my students to use their iPads to the fullest extent.
These accessories will let me students truly become 21st century learners. These accessories will allow our iPads to be uses by the whole class verses 2 students at a time.
