My Students

We are a Title I School that has been recognized for student growth in reading and math, as well as reducing the achievement gaps between groups. My students are a diverse group of children with a wide variety of learning styles and personalities. Each and every one of them brings a special quality or uniqueness to our class. Their hard work and dedication enable them to be successful members of our classroom and school.

Their enthusiasm and energy to learn create opportunities for everyone to be the best that they can be.

While we all come from different backgrounds and experiences, we come together as a whole, learning together as we go. I'm honored to be their teacher this year and want to provide for them the best learning opportunities possible.

My Project

This year, our school has been focusing on personalized learning in the classroom. The students are taking more ownership as they share their learning with their families. Having iPads in the classroom will allow the students to take pictures of their work, create videos of them explaining their thinking, and be engaged in technology in a fun and creative manner.

Being able to have iPads in class will allow the students more freedom with how they share their learning with their families.

Students will be using digital portfolios, the green screen, and Class Dojo to showcase their work throughout the school day. Having iPads in the classroom will allow the sharing to be ongoing.
