My Students

My kids (students) drive my passion for teaching. They come into my classroom at the beginning of the year full hope to gain the knowledge they'll need. My students grow as readers, writers, and mathematicians throughout the year and it's extremely rewarding to see that growth. More importantly, however, they learn to become a family. They pick one another up, they encourage each other, and treat others with respect.

If you can be anything, be kind.

The love for learning and love for each other gets stronger every day. I'm so proud to call them "my kids."

My Project

A positive outlook on literacy is a foundation for building a love of reading throughout a life-time, and this can be fostered within the classroom. By utilizing a classroom library, students are able to have daily opportunity to interact with books, characters, and learn about the world. What better way to do this than in a spot that feels inviting and comfortable through the use of bean bag chairs, comfy seats, and rugs.

The right environment can make all the difference in a child's learning.
