My students need a class set of books to teach investment to my marketing students. I also have a store lab that is in a different location of my classroom, so the camera will provide security.

Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

The student body is composed of approximately 34% White, 27% Black, 32% Latino, 7% Asian and 1% other racial groups including Native Americans. This is our first year of being Title I status. Many of the students come to school on public transportation. My digital technology students, need interactive projects to build. I have the majority of boys and that need to learn by doing. I have students that understand the basic of the computer but I need them to learn more about programming and languages. This class should be fun while learning.

My Project

I order a class set of twenty books on "How to Invest " books to teach my students how to invest and build their financial success. My students will read the books and work the example into their business plans.

My class is learning financial literacy and learning to invest to secure their future.

The class set of investment books will allow them to read independently while learning as a class.

The video camera is for our marketing lab that is located in a remote area of the school, I will be able to provide extra security for my students, while in my classroom working.
