We need many books to go along with our social studies/ELA curriculum in order for the students to investigate and explore our topics through the wonder of magnificent books!
My students live in a rural small town in Tennessee. Many of them lack opportunities gain first hand knowledge through experiences. Therefore, it is so important that my students have the resources they need to gain the knowledge they thirst for. My students are enthusiastic, creative, and inquisitive hard workers. Our school is a Title I low income school. Money, school location, or income level should not affect a student's access to quality instructional materials. These kids love to learn and appreciate exciting instructional materials. My students are awesome! Their futures are so bright they have to wear shades!
My students are in great need of books that will allow them to visually and academically investigate and explore topics we study in history. These books will also help develop their language and reading skills as we are teaching ELA through history. The books will be used individually, in groups, and for projects. Not only will the students learn history, they will experience teamwork, and use the books to increase their English/reading skills. The enjoyment they have from exploring/investigating these books will continue to encourage their love and wonder for books! Hello world! Here they come!!
The activity books will allow me to differentiate instruction and help insure their success through fun learning activities.

We are in great need of good books that interest us to help with our learning and projects in Mrs. Mitchell's class. We love examining books and reading. These books will help us so much with our research, projects, and teamwork activities. Our resources are limited, so having exciting new things that help us learn is so important!
Our leadership skills will be developed through the research, activities, and projects we make using these books. The more you know, the more you grow! Our ELA skills, history knowledge, and teamwork skills will increase as we use these interesting and exciting books which will automatically increase our leadership skills! Plus, our love of books will be bigger than ever! We are good leaders and will be even better if this project gets funded!
If this project is funded, we will have the resources we need to help us with our ELA/history class. These books will provide us with visuals of things that happened in world history, as well as being a resource full of information for our projects, individual reading and teamwork, and interesting information to use for learning our ELA skills.
