My students need a copy of their own Mythology: Timeless Tales of Gods and Heros to use during the school year so that they can read the myths and do their proposed projects outside of class time.

My students are no longer exposed to mythology in high school and this puts them at a disadvantage as they head into their AP Latin year.

This project will provide my classroom with copies of "Mythology by Edith Hamilton" so that the students can read myths and we can create projects that will help support their progress as we move towards the AP Latin test the following year.

Please consider donating to my students. They need to have a good basis of Greek and Roman mythology before leaving the Latin classroom and these books will be extremely helpful in achieving that goal. Thank you!

My Project

Since students entering high school no longer have a good grasp of the mythological tales that they used to be exposed to through reading "The Odyssey", I am taking it upon myself to give the students a better background in mythology.

Doing this not only gives them access to some of the oldest stories in existence that have been passed down for thousands of years, but it will also give those students who are planning on continuing their Latin learning the background they need for reading and translating Vergil's "Aeneid".
