My Project

Mathematical proofs are some of the most important concepts of mathematics because results are proven for the rest of eternity! However, understanding and creating mathematical proofs can be a very challenging task since it represents one of the ultimate goals of mathematics after observation, pattern recognition, and inductive reasoning have taken place. But what if instead, this complex concept of proof is introduced in the context of the familiar game UNO? Imagine the levels of engagement and deep understanding that can occur as my hard-working students learn about deductive reasoning by playing UNO. My students will make decisions based on the cards they have at certain times (they will need to make the best out of the givens). This type of reasoning can also help students make better financial decisions! This is what your donation can help us achieve!
