My Project
The books I've selected will serve as a foundation for a United States and World Geography unit I am creating for my Level 1 and 2 English language learners. I've added five reference books, a class set of map skills and basic geography workbooks, and a class set of Washington DC guidebooks.
My students are recent immigrants to the United States. They are aged 17 and up. Many of them work full time and take care of their families. They are working hard to earn their high school diplomas. The geography books will help us build a foundation for them to be successful in the social studies classes they take when they move to Level And the DC guidebooks will encourage and empower them to get out and explore their new city!
