This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are predominantly low socioeconomically but thrive on engaging themselves in learning. Every morning when they come in, they are eager to see the objectives and what we will be covering in each subject for the day. Even though most, if not all of them, are on free or reduced-price lunch plan, they are very friendly and welcoming with great social skills among their peers. My school is full of passionate teachers, teaching the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People to our students to help them become leaders every day. Through their leadership, we can have a better tomorrow!
My Project
The items in my cart will be used for all students, both virtual and face-to-face! We are moving to the hybrid model where we will be teaching students in person as well as at home simultaneously.
The tablet will be used mostly for my virtual students as I can carry it around the room with me easier than my computer.
Additionally, I will be able to interact with them more frequently and easier during whole group instructions.
The plastic storage drawers as well as pencil cases will be used for my face-to-face learners. Due to COVID restrictions we are not able to share any items. The drawers I listed will be for each student to store their supplies and belongings. Pencil pouches will serve to keep items in their fine motor journals that I have assembled!
