My Students

All students can learn, some at different rates than others. My students struggle with reading, and the gap continues to widen for them. Some of my students struggle with dyslexia, others haven't had the educational background to support their success. All of my students WANT to learn though. They need tailored supports to strengthen their skills.

Just as all students need instruction tailored to their needs, they need flexible seating that is tailored to their learning styles.

Some of my students need to wobble, rock, flex, lay, or recline while we work towards closing the achievement gap.

My students are hard workers. They truly desire to learn and become stronger readers.

My Project

My students lack confidence in reading. They are at risk, struggle with language processing, and have missed opportunities in their young lives. When given the right support and tools, they will begin to soar!

With flexible seating options like floor cushions, lap trays, couches, and work stands, my students can personalize their learning environment.

Students can lay on the floor and read leveled text. They can sit in small groups on the couch and carpet to discuss their thinking. They can work on lap desks and trays with magnetic letters to build words.

With different ways to work, my students will all have the advantages they need to grow in their literacy skills.
