This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My awesome and eager students are from various social cultures. They possess diverse backgrounds which include varying income ranges.

I am an educational diagnostician that reaches students throughout the entire school district.

This is my first year serving my three schools and the children are full of life and are eager to learn.

Despite being a Title I school, in which all students receive free lunch, the cultures within these schools surpass any that I have been a part of. This is my 13th year teaching, but my first year servicing students within the whole school-district. My goal for this year is to incorporate STEM into all areas of their curriculum, including interventions. I know that this will not be an easy task; however, the students of our school have the potential to surpass our wildest expectations.

Our school has a very large population of students with special needs. Because of this, my role is important in ensuring they are meeting their social and academic goals as well. I know that, with the appropriate resources, our students can and will succeed.

My Project

Currently, I evaluate, diagnoses and work with children with learning challenges. I am a learning consultant/educational diagnostician for the district which I serve. This technology (iPad) will increase productivity by assisting with administering and assessing students. It will also provide support for reporting effective evaluations to the teachers, parents, and administrators. The students will be enabled by the opportunity to use resources that are only supported by technological software. The tablet will increase efficiency, productivity, and support for the students that need it most. It is imperative to provide the necessary support when ensuring each evaluation impacts student achievement. We will are very thankful for any support.
