This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are a diverse and multi-talented set of leaders. We speak different languages and come from places all over the world. We are a Title I school located in a small rural community. We recently received damage from Hurricane Irma to our school campus and are rebuilding.

My students are a diverse mix of learners from every socioeconomic background.

They have a knack for introspective learning, hands-on projects, and imaginative practices. As educators, we know that having an interest and strong background in science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM) education is vital for our student's success.

My Project

IoT or internet of things is an upcoming technology that makes use of the internet to control/monitor electronic/mechanical devices, automobiles and other physical devices connected to the internet. Data capture, programming logic and more are the focus of this project. My students are among the pioneers researching in the field of internet of things.

Our classroom efforts concentrate on researching innovative iot projects that could benefit all students.

IoT projects also serves as a source of new ideas for research by students. We are requesting need curriculum-based SAM LABS projects and lesson plans for data capture, programming logic, and more. My students plan on using the SAM Starter Kit to experiment with proximity sensors and more! The kit will provide data capture, programming logic experiments and more. Thank you for your generosity as we settle back into our routine after Hurricane Irma.
