My Students

I teach students from ages 11 to 14 who come from a variety of backgrounds. They each bring something different to the classroom. They are usually happy, but do sometimes let their emotions get the best of them. However, they are not mean to each other. They help each other everyday. Their compassion for their fellow classmates gets to me almost every day.

My students do need help more than usual this year.

We have a new curriculum and they are struggling with the technology and print materials. Even though they struggle with the materials online, they love technology and know how to use it. I only wish I could provide them with more technology to help them succeed.

My Project

An interactive whiteboard will provide my students with many ways to learn. Most of them learn in a variety of ways and not just one. Whether they learn best visually or through listening, or better when the task is kinesthetic, etc. the interactive whiteboard will cater to all learning styles. There are multiple applications available on the interactive whiteboard that will provide students with the opportunity to view the curriculum in new and exciting ways. My students love using technology in the educational setting and they will use it to have fun while learning.
