My Kindergarten children are very sweet and eager to learn new things. They all have a very different family style at home, and are learning to come together to be a class family. Over half of my students qualify for free/reduced lunch.
Our school has a high ELL population, with many children coming to our school for their first time in America.
Over half of my class speaks another language at home, and several of my students are new to the country.
My Project
I'm requesting 2 tablets with headphone splitters to set up 2 listening stations in my classroom. The listening stations will help my ELL students to learn the English Language, and will boost fluency for all my students. The tablets will help prepare them for college ready skills using Kid Friendly learning apps in all academic areas as well.
My students need interactive working technology to help them reach goals!
The laptop will be used daily to provide brain breaks with GoNoodle, reading online with Myon, and used with several different interactive websites with our class SmartBoard. The Interactive Websites will help my students to be actively engaged in learning with learning games in reading, writing, math, and science.
