Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My wonderful students face many challenges before they step foot onto our school campus. They live in a low socio-economic neighborhood and many are learning English as a second language. Last year, I have students from 5 different countries in my class. Every year, I can count on having students from at least 2-3 different countries.
Regardless of the circumstances that they are in, they come to school eager to learn and succeed!
I'm always amazed by my students perseverance.
My Project
These engaging interactive notebooks will make their learning fun in addition to it being academically challenging. Students love to create interactive notebooks and they're able to retain much more information because they aren't simply filling out worksheets. The worksheets come in fun shapes and sizes with that they get to color and glue in their very own notebooks.
Students are able to personalize their notebooks and keep them in an organized notebook all year long, so it allows their personality to shine through.
Students will be able to refer back to their interactive notebooks when they need to review certain standards and skills.
