This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

My students need to learn how to socialize, regulate their emotions, and play together. We see a lot of behavior issues, extreme shyness, lack of confidence, and difficulty communicating with others. I am always on the lookout for new materials to increase students' engagement and participation. You can never go wrong with the book to introduce a topic, teach a concept, or just enjoy a story. The "Dog's Colorful Day", "Hi-Five Animals", "See You Later, Alligator", etc. and are wonderful books to start a discussion about friendship and feelings with my littlest learners. Of course, we would love to have some toys to act out our stories following the book reading!
