Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The students I teach have a desire to learn every day. They come from a variety of backgrounds. Many of them have disadvantaged backgrounds. Many of my students are low income. Many students only eat when they attend school. Every student in our school receives free breakfast and lunch. We have a need to reach our students in ways that make them excited to learn. Our heart breaks for these kids. We want to be the positive force in their lives, and we do that every day because we love them.
My Project
I have many busy bodies in my class. They love and desire to learn new things every day. They love technology. We have a limited amount of interactive resources in our classroom. My students would be thrilled to use the games to further their number indentification in a fun way. They will get an in-depth understanding of each letter they work with while playing with the letter program. My students who have mastered letters and sounds would love to use the early reading skills program. These programs will provide excellent academic opportunities and keep my students engaged in their learning.
