My Project

I work with an incredible group of 6th grade students as their math teacher. My students come from all different backgrounds and experiences. Many of my students have been struggling with getting back into school this year after remote learning for over a year and a half. This project is to help include more hands on and real world learning experiences in our classroom. Students will be able to show their work on white boards and work in teams on projects using large graph paper.

When students have the tools they need to be successful their attention and focus improves and ultimately their academic achievement goes up!

Anther thing I am looking to add to our classroom is books that students relate to, ones that they empathize with and can see themselves in. Our wish list also includes basic everyday supplies such as calculators, rulers and folders to store student work. I have noticed that students struggle to learn when they are hungry, so your donation will also go towards providing healthy snacks for students in need.
