My Students

My students are 8th grade honors science students and excited to explore the world around them. They are normal, crazy, energetic, teenagers.

"How does that work?", is a common question I receive from my students.

They are full of questions and in the middle of trying to figure out their lives.

They are excited about their future and they are fascinated by new ideas and demonstrations about how our world functions. It is a privilege to be a part of their exploration and discovery.

My Project

With an Apple TV connected to my classroom projector, I will be able to use my iPad and work interactively with students while moving around the classroom. There are multiple digital programs, that can be much more effective if I can move around and not be tied to a desk in the back.

As we include more blended learning in the classroom, this technology will enable me to be more interactive with students both digitally and physically as I move about the room.

As I model and demonstrate specific content we can use the Apple TV to reflect images on the screen. This allows for more student input. In studying physical properties, for example, I can use a Nearpod lesson and allow the students to input individual answers on their devices. Using the Apple TV, I can project their responses on the screen and we can discuss them immediately.
