Help me give my students interactive tools for our morning work stations along with bins so that students can keep their activities organized. It is my classroom goal to incorporate more hands-on learning!
My students are eager-to-learn kindergartners. They allow everything to excite them! As we are nearing the beginning of the school year, we are eager to learn how to read new books and to read new words. I love seeing my students working to "grow their brains" as they use their letter knowledge to produce sounds and create words!
This is my second year teaching, and I find myself learning from my students all of the time!
I have gained an appreciation for the drive, ambition, and pride that some students have against all odds. They show me how important positive feedback and recognition is and that I have a gift to love other people's children. They have also pushed me to be a constant and willing learner just as I expect them to be!
My students are ambitious, creative and full of questions! They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions!
My Project
I will be using these materials to support my students in guided hands-on learning activities. I would like to be able to give my students an option every morning to pick an activity that is geared towards their RTI goals. This will help me differentiate skills in my classroom with tools other than worksheets.
In this project, I include resources like games and various craft supplies, all of these things are needed to help our individualized stations run smoothly.
I hope that my students will have what they need to master new skills as I differentiate the activities throughout the remainder of the school year.
Our supplies often are the heart of our classroom, learning, and community. In kindergarten, we learn to work as a team to keep our tools in good condition. We also learn how to be responsible and respectful to our classroom as well as one another as we share the items we use. Not only do these tools enable us as we learn together, but they also help students develop habits and skills they will use throughout their lifetime.
My project will help me provide students in my class with the materials they will need to accomplish good work. This project is made up of supplies and items that we will use to help our class run smoothly, with the goal of becoming more interactive and hands-on.
