My 4th grade students are ready to learn! My school is a Title I school, meaning that my students are considered "at risk", because most of them come from low income households.
The students in my classroom come from a low income high poverty school district.
Students are faced with many challenges that other students will never experience. In addition to these challenges, students have emotional disorders, they are language learners, and many have learning disabilities.
The students come from a variety of different economic backgrounds with over 90% of our students receiving free lunch.
Students enjoy working in their writing and math groups. When working at the meeting area it is hard for them to lean their papers on the floor when completing assignments on looseleaf paper.
Clipboards will allow for students to have a personal writing space at the connivence of their own laps.
We have a few clipboards in the classroom now, but not enough for a class set. Students will be delighted to have their own clipboards to use.
Our classroom easel was damaged over the summer and we need your help to replace it. Students use the classroom easel to post their responses to several daily questions throughout the school day.
