Help me give my students interactive hands on phonics word building activities to use on the classroom magnetic white-baords. The interactive Phonics Magnetic Word Building activities will benefit my students by use of visual aids to reinforce phonics.
My students are full of wonder and love towards life, each other and learning. We are a Title I school with an incredible group of first grade students that bring a rich tapestry of cultural backgrounds and languages.
My First Grade students benefit from hands-on learning activities, however it is important to note that my classroom is composed mainly of whiteboards so one aspect of interactive "hands on activities" require me providing magnetic learning activities.
My students enjoy working with partner pairs, in small groups, one on one and as a whole class group.
Providing materials to meet all of the learning needs of my students is something that has always fallen on me financially for the last 21 years of teaching. Without a second thought I have spent countless personal money to provide the needed materials for my students. However, while shopping yesterday for more teaching materials and spending another $200+ on teaching supplies I realized that realistically I need to reach outward for purchasing the magnetic phonics activities. Therefore, I am kindly asking for help with purchasing magnetic phonics activities for the children to interact with while learning and growing in their understanding of phonics.
My Project
The Phonics Magnetic Word Building Boards will be beneficial to my First Graders for several reasons. For example, since most of my students are English Language Learners the Phonics Magnetic Word Building Boards have corresponding pictures that will be helpful visual aids to reinforce English words. Also, these boards can be used in partner pairs, one on one and as whole class to learn, review and reinforce phonics.
The students will be able to work with concrete letters as they sound out, segment and blend together phonics sounds, blends, digraphs, consonants and vowel teams.
These Phonics Magnetic Word Building Boards will become a very important teaching tool, learning tool and independent student tool.
