My Students

My classroom is filled with sweet, eager to learn second graders. They can't get enough of technology and any chance they get, I see them gravitate to the charging station where the computers are stored. This year they will discover new uses for Chromebooks. I would love to start incorporating interactive notebooks on the Chromebooks, which means every student in the class, and any of those that come to work in my classroom, would need to have access to their own computer!

My Project

Motivating students can be a challenge in today's world. Since things now involve technology and students are interested in it, I hope to tap into that source and bring interactive learning into the classroom.

My goal is to encourage students to take a deeper look at stories, by using computers to access books and create slide shows and reports about them.

Hundreds of books online can be accessed at each students individual reading ability. Once a child gets hooked on a story, then he or she will have an opportunity to share thoughts and create presentations that highlight their comprehension.
