My Students

My students are first graders with many needs and abilities. They are eager to learn, fun to teach, and need lots of TLC. They are very hands-on learners who need to be introduced to concepts in a variety of ways. First graders learn to read, do math, and become writers. They enjoy science, social studies, and STEM activities. Many manipulatives, stories, and materials make learning more engaging and exciting! We are in a small Pre-K to First grade school in rural western Maine.

My Project

My students need an opportunity to learn with a variety of materials. They need a place to show their learning in an organized, fun way. This easel provides the only white magnetic surface in my classroom. It has storage to keep materials that the children can use to enhance their learning opportunities. It will give a place to hold their big books to help with reading, a place to put manipulatives for math, and it is 2 sided to encourage individual or group work.

The easel system will help promote interactive, engaging lessons that the whole class can benefit from and enjoy!

All students will be able to participate and be involved in our daily activities. It will be a great addition to my first grade classroom.
