I currently teach fourth grade students in a low-income/high poverty urban school that receives Title I services. Many of my students are English Language Learners, some of whom are new to the country. All of the students in the school receive free breakfast and lunch. My students are full of energy and enthusiasm, especially when it comes to learning new material.
My students have a love for learning and want to be successful.
They love learning and practicing the skills that have been taught in the classroom.
I have many English Language Learners in my classroom at a variety of different levels. Getting a yearly subscription for BrainPop ELLs edition will help to differentiate the instruction for my English Language Learners so they can work at their own level. I have a variety of levels within my classroom ranging from Newcomer to Advanced English Language Learners. BrainPOP is also fun and interactive for the students because it uses videos of engaging content to introduce new vocabulary. My students have access to one to one chromebooks so they will be able to use BrainPop during our intervention times scheduled in our classroom.
