This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are enthusiastic learners who strive to do their best. Many of them face challenges inside and outside of the classroom, but they never give up. My vision is to have a classroom that provides critical thinking opportunities and provides differentiation for each student so that they are all able to thrive as learners.

I am currently teaching 20, wonderful, first grade students in a Title I (low socioeconomic status) school.

Our school uses the Daily 5 with Guided Reading to meet each student's needs. Nothing is better than seeing the pride on my students' faces as they see their growth as they work to become the best first graders they can be.

My Project

My students need an All-Purpose Easel to use to show their thinking during group and small group lessons. They will be able to show their work and explain their thinking during math, reading, and writing lessons. This resource will help them gain hands on practice during the shared writing process.

My students thrive when they are given hands on, interactive experiences to share and demonstrate their thinking.

They would love having a specific place in our classroom where we can show examples and share ideas throughout the day. They will also be able to participate in many hands on manipulative phonics games on the magnetic surfaces.
