My students need an engaging circle time complete with a interactive white board, a flannel board and a new carpet!
This project expired on January 15, 2015.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
My students are identified with developmental disabilities and attend a low-income school. They are faced with significant challenges everyday. Many of them have a hard time with engagement and learning. My students deserve to have classroom that supports their learning.
My students all have unique abilities and come from a variety of cultural backgrounds.
They qualify under several categories for special education including; autism, intellectual disability, communication disorder and emotional disturbance. The school they attend is currently receiving a federal turnaround grant. All students receive free breakfast and lunch.
Circle Time is a vital part of our day. During Circle Time my students are working on academic skills, positive behavior skills, social skills and life skills. Since so much learning is taking place during Circle Time, Circle Time needs to be ENGAGING! Through the use of an interactive white board, a flannel board for story time and a brand new rug they will be engaged in our Circle Time.
Let's face it, students these days are seeking technology to help support their learning.
They are drawn to interactive, engaging lessons. This new Circle Time will capture their attention, creating a hands on experience that will encourage their learning and success in so many vital school and social skills.
