Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are absolutely amazing! They are so energetic and fun. They come in every day ready to rock the day! We are from a small town in Mississippi. Our school has approximately 700 students from pre-kindergarten to sixth grade. Our school has the most amazing environment for our students. We have great things going on in our school. We use PBIS and are using the house system this year. My classroom is a place centered around our sweet kids.

My Project

These materials, a TV, Apple TV 4K and wall mount, would make my classroom so much more interactive. The students would be able to manipulate numbers and quantities while the whole class could watch. They’d also be a lot to manipulate letters and sounds in words. The applications are endless! The students would be able to sing and dance to different educational songs also. Our students are living in the middle of a technology-driven time and we must teach them how to keep up. It’s our job to prepare them for the future. I can’t wait to open our students' eyes to an amazing world of reading and numbers!
