I teach in a school district located near Green Bay, WI. The school district has many cultures and socioeconomic backgrounds. Our school district prides itself with offering the best education to all students.
Making choices and being comfortable allows the students to stay vested in their work and behavior.
Students work with others, sharing materials and spaces and move around the room. These students are working hard to become independent learners, responsible citizens, and positive decision makers. They crave new experiences and engaging, real-life learning opportunities.
My class is made up of students with a variety of needs. Students gain a sense of ownership within our classroom and are enabled to become invested in their own education.
My Project
Teaching third grade allows me to see many different levels of learners who are excited and eager to learn more. The skill levels vary from child to child. Most importantly, all the students need to have a variety of projects and activities that promote creativity and problem solving. These skills necessary for the future.
The activities I've chosen are level progression project-based learning resources that incorporate a range of math skills, as well as literacy and critical thinking skills throughout.
Students will be required to make decisions and apply a variety of math/and or literacy skills to progress through each level. They provide different creative and engaging levels and subjects so I can meet the needs of all of my students and keep them engaged critical thinkers.
