My Students
Have you witnessed the power of art in the classroom? Have you seen the amazing works young artists can create? It is truly my pleasure to work with this creative group of young minds.
Our school is a diverse community of learners. My first grade class has many English Language Learners; over six languages are represented! Our vision is to develop smart and critical students who love art and know they can do anything! We achieve this mission by integrating the arts into all curricular areas.
My Project
Our classroom needs to stock up on basic art supplies. Your donation will provide construction paper, drawing pens and trays for storing paper. My students will use these art materials in three ways. First we will develop craft, learn the skills and techniques for art making. Second, students will create art to demonstrate and deepen their understanding in other subject areas. Finally, students will have time to explore materials and create independently. Through these experiences my first grade students will grow as artists and academics.
