Be a part of something great! Technology needs to be in the hands of children that will be creating ways we use it for generations to come. By presenting 21st century learners with 21st century tools, time on task increases and essential skills are being practiced.
There are 17, fun, inspiring first graders in my class.
As a district, we are spread out through a few small Iowa towns. At this time, our district is not financially able to purchase multiple iPads for our elementary classrooms. Our school is one in which pride in the blue and gold is strong and students feel a sense of belonging in the environment in which they learn and grow.
My Project
With an additional iPad with cover in our classroom, students will be able to use it as a tool to learn and grow on a daily basis in a more efficient manner. Students are highly motivated to stay engaged and learn when interactive technology is used. This iPad with cover would be used in guided reading and guided math stations. It would also be used to help students practice skills like fluency, accuracy, phonics, addition, and subtraction, among others.
