This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are hardworking third and fourth graders who need your help! Many of my students in my school are from low-income families and many live in the projects. About 40% of the students in the school have a learning disability. Some of the students I work with have autism and are part of a program which integrates them into a general education setting. Our classrooms are lacking technology and we need your help to bring technology into our classrooms.

My Project

Chromebooks are essential in our classroom as we work on projects. Many of my students lack computer and research skills. This will allow students to work on their computer and research skills as they work on projects in social studies. The Chromebooks can also allow students to research topics. Through this research students can create slideshows for presentations.

We also need an iPad for students to work on.

There are lots of great social studies apps that we can use on the iPad. Students can also use the iPad as they take breaks throughout the day and to document Dojo Points.
