My students need an AppleTV and HDMI cable for our classroom to help integrate our iPad into our lessons.

Hooray! This project is fully funded
My students have a hard time relating to math. They don't see the use in learning it so I am trying to integrate technology into my classroom as another way to hook them into learning. It changes the normal classroom into a classroom that catches their attention while improving their learning.
I teach 8th grade math in Norman, Oklahoma.
These kids are really into iPhones, iPads, and iPods. I think if they see me using my iPad in class as well as them getting to use the iPad in class and it show on the board for everyone to be able to see their work, they will be more inclined to participate in the lesson. It will make math more fun for them.
The AppleTV will let me mirror my iPad on the projector for the kids to see what I am doing. Essentially it will let me run my lesson from my iPad anywhere in the room. Also it will let me pull in videos into the lesson to show examples of real world situations that use the math skill that we are learning that day.
Getting this AppleTV for my classroom will help make the math more real world and applicable for the students.
Which in turn will help raise the level of learning that occurs in my classroom as well as the scores that my students get on their end of the year state testing.
