My Students

The music room at our school is a place where students can create, persevere, and thrive. We work together to make our music, and we build on our skills every day.

The students involved in our music program are driven to succeed and rise to every challenge presented to them.

Of the 625 students at our school, 90 are instrumental music students, and 40 are in the vocal music program. My students have the desire to be better and succeed.

My Project

Our music program is growing and outgrowing our storage capabilities. With the introduction of an Orchestra, we now have more violins and violas to store than ever before! Also, our band classes have increased - we have ten lockers able to hold trombones, tenor saxophones, bass clarinets, violins, and violas, and 30 instruments to store.

With the addition of a rack dedicated to violin, viola, and trumpet storage, we will be able to safely store our overflow instruments without risk of damaging them.

As it currently stands, instruments are left on a table, which is just asking for accidents to happen. With a dedicated safe place, these instruments will no longer be in the danger zone.
