My students with special needs are having a blast making music! Some of my students cannot hold traditional musical instruments which is why wrist bells, egg shakers, and deskbells will be perfect for my students!
We are so thankful to the generous donors who donated our first round of ukuleles.
Please help us complete our set! Our big project for this year is writing and playing our own songs!
My school is an urban school in Massachusetts. 80% of our students receive free and reduced lunch.
Students come from a very diverse background, ethnically and socioeconomically. I teach seven hundred and forty-four students per week including several special education classes. We are in desperate need of more instruments. I envision all of my students to learning how to read music and play instruments in our general music classes.
My Project
My students will learn to play along with music they hear, they will learn melodies as a class, and they will be able to freely express themselves as they listen and play.
Some of my students cannot hold traditional musical instruments, which is why wrist bells, egg shakers, and deskbells will be perfect for my students!
All of my students will have the tools needed to meet music state standards that are otherwise very difficult or impossible to meet without these instruments.
Your donation will help the special education students work on fine motor skills and help meet other goals listed on each IEP.
