My Students

Every student can learn to play an instrument, but they need to be able to get them in their hands to do so! My band program is at a school that is 65% low income, so many talented students cannot afford the rental price of an instrument. We strive to provide an instrument to every student who wants to learn, regardless of their income, but we don't always have the funds to make this happen.

We really believe that music education is a very important part of brain growth, and that is why we try to get instruments into as many student hands as possible, regardless of income status.

Many of my best players are using school instruments due to their financial status and many of these kids did not have a place they fit before they joined band. An instrument in the hands of a child can positively change a life forever!

My Project

Students who do not have instruments cannot learn how to play one, and getting these trombones into the hands of new instrumentalists can change their lives forever! I know of several semi-professional musicians who started out on school horns because they could not afford the payments on a rental horn.

Musical talent is not dictated by income status, so every student should get a chance to play an instrument regardless of how much money their parents bring home!

These trombones would go into the hands of beginning band students, giving them the gift of music! They will be able to take the trombones home and practice them as if they were their own, and it would all be free of charge to the student!
