Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
As a music teacher I see a very large and diverse group of students. I teach kids of many different ages, developmental capabilities, genders, races, ethnicities, and musical ability. I have a strong passion for music and love being able to bring that passion to so many young kids!
I want to ensure that all of my students have the proper resources to thrive, succeed, and feel accomplished.
I'm hoping to provide them the tools to develop their own passions for music and to implement their diverse knowledge into their academic classrooms. By exploring the many different areas of music, my students will be able to try new things and find something that makes them happy!
My Project
Since students aren't allowed to share instruments this year, they each need their own set of instruments to use. With these items, I can put together bags of fun things they can use to make music whether they're in the classroom or at home!
My students look forward to playing instruments, and I can give that to them.
These kits are made up of items that can be used to shake, scrape, hit, and manipulate to helps us learn and understand music in new ways. These kits will be important to help them with hands on activities!
