Mrs. Flewis from Cedar Hill TX is requesting professional development through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
I need to be able to attend the Istitute of Financial Literacy annual conference to be able to bring back a wealth of knowledge to my campus.

My second grade students are eager to learn; they are ready with open minds. Our school is located in a predominately low-income area; however, we excel each year because of the way we engage our students. Because of our hard work and dedication, we are a National Blue Ribbon School! The teachers and students strive for excellence no matter what their circumstances. As a teacher, I encourage my students daily to be the best they can be in all areas. I won't settle for anything less than their best. When we as educators expect their best, the students are eager to please.
I would like to be able to attend the The Annual Conference on Financial Educatio. This conference promotes the effective delivery of consumer financial products, services and education by hosting a national event for professionals providing these services.
The Conference is a showcase for financial education success stories, offering attendees proven strategies, tips and techniques to achieve intended outcomes, funding goals and program sustainability.
Each year the conference is attended by 150 professionals representing credit unions, banks, K-12 education, higher education, social services, debt management, government, military and other industries. While the majority of attendees are from the United States, the Annual Conference has a growing international presence. International attendees in years past have represented Canada, Mexico, the United Kingdom, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Australia and the Philippines. What a great way to enhance my knowledge in financial literacy to bring back to my campus.
