A classroom where GRIT runs deep! My students come to school each day excited to learn and face the struggles of learning because I have instilled grit into our daily learning.
My students know that I push them to do hard things and don't let them think they can slide under the radar because I believe in them and know that they truly are capable of understanding everything I teach them!

My Project
Please help build our first grade listening library! Students need opportunities to be exposed to as much literature as possible. With familiar “books on cd libraries”, such as Dr. Seuss, and multiple “headphones”, more students can have access to a single story at the same time which will allow them to collaborate and expand upon by sharing and hearing multiple viewpoints. Collaboration will also help build their speaking and listening skills. Listening to stories and being able to recall events is the first step to reading comprehension. By building comprehension students become more effective learners. And when students are more effective learners they are also more eager learners!
