The children in my class are ready to have fun and learn! They are energetic and creative. They come to school every day smiling and eager to participate in our learning activities. They need to be motivated and inspired so they can discover their talents, skills, and academic strengths. My goal is to do whatever I can to help them grow into their best selves! In our class, learning activities incorporate a variety of strategies, such as small group work and partnerships, as well as technology and manipulatives, rather than whole class instruction following a textbook curriculum.
This year my teaching goal is to focus on hands-on creative learning activities that inspire and fuel my students' desire to learn.
Activities that will enable them to develop skills of creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving while collaborating with classmates will help my students exercise initiative, and be self-directed. To ensure that each student's needs are met, a comfortable classroom with an environment that reduces stress and restlessness has been created using alternate, flexible seating and learning options. Now my goal is to purchase materials that will make the hands-on, creative learning possible.
My Project
My students need well-designed, hands-on math and stem activities to foster connections to real-world situations and increase their engagement. They need activities that will allow them to make connections between the concepts in the classroom and concepts in the real world. These activities will foster their growth of critical thinking and problem solving skills. They'll not only be learning but having fun too; as they manipulate objects and collaborate with one another to gain knowledge and understanding of math and science concepts.

Specifically, Your donation will help purchase math manipulatives such as Magnetic Base 10 Sets, math games, math centers, addition and subtraction kits to help teach kids to regroup in a tactile fun way, a stem kit, and math center activities. Help us have fun learning!
