Inspiring Young Problem Solvers Through STEM Activities
My students need the Fairy Tales Problem Solving STEM kit, Gadget and Gizmos STEM kit, Global Challenges Book Set and Learn to Code File Folder Game to bring STEM to life in the classroom.
Our elementary school has about 380 students ranging from kindergarten to fifth grade and coming from diverse backgrounds. More than half of our students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch. Our students also have diverse academic abilities and each student tries their best to be as successful as possible. They walk in every day, ready to learn and are very inquisitive and involved in their studies. Our students work very hard and are so kind and thankful to everyone they encounter. These students deserve a lot of positive rewards and incentives while they are at school.
My Project
My students need STEM activities to encourage them to solve problems through science, technology, engineering and math. These activities will introduce a variety of careers for students and spark interests they may not have known they had before. The Fairy Tales STEM activity will have the students inventing alternative solutions to the problems faced in the fairy tales. The Gadget and Gizmo kit allows the students to be creative with their building and the Learn to Code game will introduce coding to students. The Global Challenges Book set presents real life problems, information and solutions through the STEM process. Students will become excellent problem solvers through each of these activities.
