it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

Curious, creative, problem-solvers; my students come to art class full of energy and excitement to learn about the world around them.
My students are full of eagerness to learn about the world around them. They love to collaborate and work together creating!
I serve a highly diverse population of approximately 1,000 students from kindergarten to 5th grade, with a large number of economically disadvantaged students. They are a great group of students and I'm so thankful to witness their growth as creative problem solvers each year!
My Project
The materials requested will enable me to open an architecture center to allow students to form a better understanding of the man made environment around them while making observations about the space and areas around where they live. The blocks will allow for hands on learning to engage my kinesthetic learners. They will use architecture books to research, architectural tools to plan and design blueprints, and building blocks to create 3-D structures.
Through guided collaborative play and learning through discovery, students will develop critical thinking, problem solving skills, and a greater understanding of the environment they live in.
Students will work collaboratively, develop gross motor skills, develop problem solving skills, and spatial awareness, while learning to engage and persist.
