This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

As DC's first all female school in the Disctrict of Columbia school system we are a Title 1, gem. We are committed to having our girls involved with STEAM. Our ladies are the epitome of sisterhood and what it means to be a young lady in today's society. The girls have plethora of activities during the school year soccer, track, cheerleading, tennis and many more.

We push our girls to have integrity, discipline, enjoyment, achievement, leadership and sisterhood during the school year.

We are creating the change agents for tomorrow's America.

My Project

At an all girls school, we want the middle school ladies to get into reading. By providing them with the novel we hope to encourage their reading and excite them with the possibility. Along with creating book bookmarks as an icebreaker about visions and goals.

Reading is the knowledge that that will help the ladies surpass many goals.As the math teacher who has shared my passion for reading with my own book club.

I want to share that with the ladies of the school and give them another source of joy during their day. Please join me in my vision to create connection and endless possibilities.
