This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students have showed great resilience and perseverance over the last two years. They have continued to strive to learn and put forth great effort from home and in school despite the many challenges and changes they have faced. by providing them with a library full of high-interest texts such as graphic novels and other topics of personal interest will spark their desire to learn and motivate them to read. The diverse texts and historical fiction stories will allow them to learn about historical heroes and events in an engaging way through characters with whom they can relate and events that they can understand. Some of our students may not have had access to a wide variety of books during their time out of school. I want to provide them with some amazing additions to our classroom library to enhance their learning experience.
