Mrs. Tyler from Conyers GA is requesting art supplies through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
Help me give my students the supplies they need to make great projects and inventions. We can't do it without your help!

My students are gifted students who attend our gifted center one day a week and take classes that are specific to their strengths. They can choose classes that pertain to math, science, reading/language arts, technology, and visual/performing arts. These students get to experience learning in a different way and experience things they would not normally learn in the regular classroom.
Our amazing gifted center approach is unique and serves over 500 children, but we don't always get the funding we need to provide materials for the wonderful classes we offer to our students.
I am working to stock up on the materials we need to allow our students to create amazing products for our project based learning classes, giving them hands on experiences and the chance to use their creativity and innovation to create amazing projects.
As a gifted teacher, I see hundreds of brilliant students who I get to instruct and inspire every day. My job is to make learning interesting for these students and provide them with an opportunity to explore their passions and interests. In our project based learning units, we do just that.
Our PBL units provide real-world, hands-on experiences that allow our students to innovate and create.
Our students learn how to invent products that make the world a better place, how research and knowledge can change the world, how they can use their talents and strengths in real-life professions, and how they can interact with members of the community to make a positive change.
The products I am requesting are just some of the materials that our students use during each unit to build or create something amazing that shares their knowledge. Using their imagination, these students take these basic materials and come up with some incredible projects, like inventions to protect people during a natural disaster, or new habitats for endangered species, or business models to reinvigorate the local economy. They provide the tools these students need to let their creativity soar!
