My Students

My students love to learn new things! They get so excited when the learning is presented in a hands-on, engaging way. My class loves to think outside the box and work together as a team! They love to come up with projects or activities and problem solve together. They prefer this type of learning, instead of the traditional class setting.

During one block of the day, I am blessed to facilitate Genius Hour to the entire first grade.

This is a time where they can pick a topic, research, create, and present. The students love this time of the day! They can find their inner genius!

My Project

My students would absolutely love the Sphero SPRK+ Robot. It would help inspire curiosity, creativity, and inventions through connected play and coding! My students would be programming, completing hands-on activities, and sharing their creations using the Sphero Edu app.

The Robot and app introduce STEM concepts by combining robotics and coding.

We can program the bot to navigate a maze, program a painting, mimic the solar system, and more. The possibilities are endless! I'm excited to see what my students will do! I also can't wait to see this implemented through first grade Genius Hour.

This would be an amazing learning tool in my first grade classroom!
