Inspiring 21st Century Authors
My students need a document camera to be more effective at sharing their writing accomplishments as authors and illustrators
"Imagination is everything. It is the preview of life's coming attractions," Albert Einstein said, and I encourage my students to use their imagination to tell, write, and illustrate their dreams through story writing.
My first grade students attend a Title One school which means that many of them live at poverty level.
But, despite their economic challenges my students' aren't lacking in their excitement for learning and writing. My students love school and are always excited to share their accomplishments. I encourage them to be the best they can be and I strive to empower them to do so.
We need to prepare students for their future and technology enables educators to create more opportunities for students to share their accomplishments.
Can you help my students make their story telling time more visually accessible.
Too often I hear my students' complain "I can't see." It's difficult for them to share their own stories and illustrations from an easel. The use of a document camera will enable them to make their stories and illustrations visible to all and promote student attention and interaction.
The document camera will allow me to more effectively provide student feedback and allow my young imaginative writers to share their stories with their peers.
Your support will aid in inspiring creative confidant young authors.
