Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My school provides opportunities for children from all cultures, areas, and various incomes an opportunity to learn and thrive within the district. Helping to fund my project, you'll become part of a community committed to ensuring that our students make it to and through college.

All of our students receive free meals, over 90% are students of color, and just over 15% are special needs students.

A child that attends our school is four times more likely to graduate from college than their peers, and we hope to see that number continue to rise in the coming years.

My Project

In my classroom, I strive to make learning exciting and accessible to my students. One of the big ways I do this is by utilizing different writing tools inside my classroom. I need a way to transform my normal writing lessons into something out of this world. They are amazing students with extremely high potential to grow in the area of writing.
