My students are a lovable bunch of children who are eager to learn and to please. They love working with their hands and creating beautiful art. They absolutely love seeing their artwork on display around the classroom and in the home of their loved ones.
My 4th-grade students are creative, self-motivated and eager to learn.
They love to create projects that are based on academics as well as those that are related to holidays. The students are always ready and excited to try new ideas. With their natural desire to create, make, and build, the students will enjoy their school days so much more with the integration of art.
My Project
It has been proven time and time that art provides students with skills and opportunities that textbooks do not. Students' school days are usually packed with many reading, writing, and math work. In order to help the students to accomplish higher achievement, incorporating art into the curriculum provides them with an avenue to succeed. Through art, my students will be able to express their point of view and their cultures artistically. Some basic art supplies such as watercolor, brushes, and oil pastels will enable students to experience a few of the different art mediums and techniques.
Art provides students with opportunities to practice communication skills, fine motor skills, and more importantly, inspire their creativity.
