Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Now in my fourth year of teaching, this year marks a new and exciting time for me and my students! We are a new school, built with the foundation that WE ARE world changers!
Our students have chosen to be part of a journey where students are learning to be innovative, global, intentional, reflective, and connected.
Students have a drive to want to learn more, and know they are entering a safe environment where they are free to take risks.
My Project
As an educator what is my why? My students. Every day I look for ways to bring into the classroom, real-world experiences that are not only engaging but will also impact their futures. This project allows my students to have the necessary tools to be problem finders and problem solvers. In order to be successful in a world like this, my students will need to be able to think creatively and in innovative ways.
STEM learning is an effective way to encourage risk-taking and inspire innovation.
Providing my students with the STEM materials such as the Wonder Work Dash and LEGO set will not only spark curiosity to be innovative but also will help empower students to create change in the world because they are the future.
